Sharing Info

I like sharing informaton to better the performance of other athletes. Here's what I know about sports nutrition.
Water is the most important factor in sports nutrition. It makes up about 60 percent of body weight and is involved in almost every bodily process. Your body cannot make or store water, so you must replace what you eliminate (i.e., urine, sweat). Everyone should drink at least two quarts (eight cups) of water each day, and athletes need more. Drink plenty of fluids before, during and after sports events to stay hydrated and avoid overheating. When you workout or compete, especially in hot weather, try to closely match the amount of fluid you drink with the amount you lose to sweat.

sports nutrition

Thanks to today’s high-fat, high-salt diet, most Americans are obese and overweight. If you are to lose fat, you will have to reduce the amount of fat, and salt in your diet. Go for healthy foods such as vegetables, grains, and fruits, and avoid processed foods, fats, some oils, and eat meat in moderation.

Important Tip for Muscle Gain

The amount of force a muscle generates is proportional to the amount of muscle growth you'll be able to create. Force is defined as mass (the weight you use) multiplied by acceleration (the speed at which you push a weight against resistance). To generate more force, then, progressively increase your poundages while lifting explosively - in this context, you actually increase speed during the second half of the rep.

aerobics and sodium

Aerobics interfere wih muscle building, so when someone wants muscle gain they should stop doing aerobics. On the other hand, sodium is good for muscle mass. It's an essential mineral that is an absolute must for muscle growth. Sodium has a bad rap because it can cause water retention but sodium enhances carbohydrate storage and amino acid absorption while improving the muscle's responsiveness to insulin.

Jogging

I love to jog. Doing low intensity excercise like jogging reduces body fat. Reducing body fat is the first step in gaining muscles.
To anyone who wants to lose body fat, especially for those who want to gain muscles, I totally recommend slow jogging. It seems kind of uselesss at first but you will notice a big difference after a while.
